Dr. Madhuban Lal Maskay

Dr. Madhuban Lal Maskay has obtained doctoral degree in soil bioengineering from University of Agriculture & Forestry (UNI Boku), Vienna, and Master's of Science in civil engineering from Krasnodar Polytechnic Institute, Krasnodar, Russia. He has an experience of over 25 years working with various national and international development organizations in Nepal and abroad.

His field of experience includes

  • road planning and implementation and environmental assessment,
  • landscaping
  • soil bioengineering and
  • water and sanitation.

Dr. Maskay has worked in in Nepal, India, Indonesia and Austria and have always aimed to utilize the best local resources available providing opportunities to local people with an emphasis on using greenery in all development projects.

The projects involved local Government and international funding agencies, which included Asian Development Bank, World Bank, UNHABITAT, UNDP, UNCDP, FAO, The ILO, GTZ, DANIDA, FINNIDA, Austrian Development Cooperation, American Himalayan Foundation, Louis Berger Group, INC., Sinclair Knight Merz PTY LTD (SKM), and projects for individuals.

He has also worked extensively in community development projects dealing with capacity building and environment related issues. Currently, he is working as a part time soil bio-engineering consultant for Louisberger Groups Inc. in India. 977-1-9851039579

Mr. Rabi Raj Thapa
Vice Chairman (Public Relation Director)

Thirty two years of government service in Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (APF). Founding member of Narcotic Drug Control Law Enforcement Unit (NDCLEU); Armed Police Force (APF); National Security Council Secretariat of the Government of Nepal. Served the Colombo Plan Secretariat as Director of the Drug Advisory Program (CPDAP), Colombo, Sri-Lanka from 1996 to 2000. At present, engaged in research work on national security, security sector reform and good-governance; drug abuse prevention education, research and counseling services as a chairman of Hamro Aastha – Nepal. 977-9851097266

Dr. Kulesh Bahadur Thapa
Vice Chairman (Medical Training & Hospital Safety)

Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police, Dr. Kulesh Thapa is a medical doctor affiliated with the Nepal Police Hospital for the last 23 years. His particular area of expertise is disaster management. Dr. Thapa also works as a trainer of pre-hospital emergency care and has extensive experience throughout South, South East Asia, and Africa working with UN and international NGOs. He is also involved in curriculum development of First Aid and Adaptation of Medical First Responder Course. Mr. Ratindra Khatri
General Secretary (Executive Director)

A retired army Colonel with almost 29 years' service is a graduate of US Army Command and General Staff College. He holds double masters degree form Tribhuban University. While serving in the army he actively involved in planning, coordination, and implementation of disaster response plan at different level. Being the survivor and first responder of Haiti earthquake 2010, heartily contributed in search, rescue, relief and recovery operations on the capacity of National Contingent Commander and Chief of U1 Branch of the United Nations Mission in Haiti. He participated in numerous disaster related platforms at national and international level several occasions. Mr. Anil Rathi
Treasurer (Finance Director)

Mr. Anil Rathi is a successfull business entrepreneur. He is also a Finance and management expert. He holds masters’ degree in commerce from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. On his credit he is a member of FNCCI, Nepal, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Kathmandu and Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Kathmandu (NCCCI). Mr. Sohan Babu Khatri

Ltd., a 360 degree management consulting firm and Director of Board of Grand Bank, Nepal (formerly DCBL Bank Ltd), a commercial bank, has graduate degree in Civil Engineering (IOE, Nepal) and MBA with specialization in Finance and Marketing (India) along with Charter holder certificate as Licensed International Financial Analyst (LIFA) (IRA, US) and Certified Financial Manager (CFM) (India). He has been providing consulting, research and training services in management and technology related functions to various esteemed organizations and corporate houses in Nepal since a decade. His past experience in various sectors ranging from social to for-profit has lent him diversified knowledge on the strategic planning, implementation, research and education. He is also adjunct faculty of finance and investment related subjects in various renowned colleges in Nepal viz. Ace Institute of Management, Kathmandu University School of Management, Kathmandu College of Management. Dr. Namita Maskay

Dr. Namita has over fifteen years of work experience in various fields related to plant science. She has possessed Ph. D. and Master of Science in Botany specialized in plant tissue culture. She worked as a tissue culturist in Austria and later in Nepal producing ornamental and horticultural plantlets. She also worked in Nepal Agriculture Research Council as the scientific/ research officer and conducted management of tissue culture laboratory cum glass house complex for production of disease-free pre basic seed potato i.e. mini-tubers, which is the first and largest tissue culture laboratory & green house having various modern facilities in Nepal. Mrs. Maskay carried out orientation-training courses in Pakistan and Nepal and has also participated in various international workshops in South-east Asia and Europe on tissue culture and genetically modified crops including potatoes (GMOs). Other experiences include working in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants, soil bioengineering, ornamental plants and cut flowers, bonsai and management of plant nursery and teaching as a lecturer. Mrs. Rachana Basnyat

A graduate of economics and special English is an experience school teacher. She visited former Yugoslavia during war of 1994/95 and got exposure of social volunteer work for victims mainly older, women and children at local community on real time crisis situation. Also she had actively participated on social volunteer program at Leavenworth and Lansing Community, Kansas, USA on 1997/98.
